Editing Your Video
Once we have a digital master we can set about enhancing it further by editing the footage.
We can remove unwanted parts of the footage so that you have only the interesting sections combined together. When you are deciding how to go about this it is a good idea to follow the "less is more" policy, be ruthless and this way you will end up with the best results and a DVD that is interesting all the way through and doesn't send viewers to sleep with close-ups of Auntie's feet!
This will also give your room on the DVD for the important shots.
A lot of customers like to have a "highlights" section on their DVD. This is a reduced version of the complete footage that is edited down to include the most important parts that capture the feelings and experiences of the movie. Usually this will be between 5 and 8 minutes long and include appropriate background music and transitions.
We can also add titles and chapter points at required locations so your footage can be accessed via the DVD menu. All you need to do is make a note of the time of each point in the movie where you want a new chapter to start and we'll do the rest.
We will take great care of your originals and make sure they are securely returned to you along with your brand new DVD's.
It is worth pointing out that if the originals are damaged in any way we will not be able to tranfer them.Some older videos may have deteriorated due to time and use and whilst there are some ways of improving quality (i.e. colour balance) once digitized there are limits to what we can improve on.
If you posses a damaged or very deteriorated video, we recommend that you have it
looked at by a proffessional video restorer before using our service.

The customer had filmed the wedding on a mix of DV and Hi8 tape and wanted DVD
created with a highlights section, additional audio and still images. Additional menus
enable the customer to navigate to the desired parts of the DVD.
